Retreat content is guided by the ongoing investigation of "Impeccable Regard." We work with what is alive in us from first order experience exploring how deep play; creative expression and impeccable regard contribute to spontaneous healing and a state of well being within the context of Continuum Movement. Slowing down, connecting with the land and water and with continuum movement, recalibrate us to the appreciation of the cosmic meaning and intent of the Vernal Equinox, where light reemerges. The art offering will be painting with fluid acrylics on canvas pad using living water. We will share the responsibility of the food by signing up to bring a salad or a soup or main course to share.
*Limited to 8 Participants

Winter Solstice Continuum Movement Retreat
December 10-12, 2010
Tending the Shadows in our Hearts with Suzanne Wright Crain
Dancing Waters Inn, Wimberley, TX
$360 (includes tuition, vegetarian meals and housing)
Here we hold the context for the individual to follow their process in a community held process, in exchange with the larger field of awareness. With breath, sound, open attention and tracking with gestural drawing we slow down the pace of our lives, creating a sense of spaciousness, bringing with it openness and creative opportunity.
Supported by our movement studio alive with altars to the elements, ancestors and the unknown, we have time to work with these forces to find what we have cast into shadow and place it in our hearts, so it can be worked. Winter Solstice is an opportunity to invoke the wisdom in darkness welcoming incubation. With the coming of darkness on the first night we begin our silence, leaving words behind and opening the great gift of belonging to ourselves, dissolving into the mystery. Participants may sleep in the room and awaken to the gentle sounding.
Touching all the tones of winter and the depths of the darkness in our hearts and having happiness return out of these depths, in a big cosmic sperm moment when the sun energetically ignites the cosmic seed. Enacting these cycles by lying or shedding, gets one quiet enough to hear the solstice dream, resonating on the inside.
Times: Friday noon through Sunday 4 PM.
